Long dusty days
Full of plenty starless nights
Sunny days
With a moon hanging as a treat
Abundant rolling hills of sand
Although greenery is almost extinct
At times the dark grey clouds show themselves
Don’t be fooled only pollution filled
Every wake up a thankful filled heart
Life lost here everyday when death surrounds you
Mortars, IED’s, and insurgents

Man, it’s crazy out here, but everyday is just another day in the desert.
